Re: 2 1/2" scale NPC 21

The easiest to locate were on a site called Ironhorse129. Unfortunately the site's gone!
The site is still available in some archives...

Don't know how long it will be there, so get what you need now.

Re: 2 1/2" scale NPC 21

That's really weird about ironhorse129.com as I was just on it within the last two weeks and it was still there. Maybe Tom simply forgot to renew the domain name and it will be back. Dave, I believe I may have already been in contact with you via email. At any rate, the best drawings of #21 are the ...

Re: A Little Something We've Been Working On

Looks real nice Jay, and good to see progress. Heck, doing one of these in 1-1/2" scale wasn't easy. hehehe I can imaging trying to do in 1:48th scale. :)

Re: SPC Locomotive Fuel

The SP went to oil in 1902 eh? Interesting. #21 was the first oil fired locomotive on the NPC, and that was 1901. From what I've read, all locos after her were oil burners. In 1902, the NPC became the North Shore.

Re: SPC Locomotive Fuel

I believe SPC burned primarily wood. They experimented with coal but that was much later.

As for the Style 1 lettering on Eureka, you could ask David Fletcher for the artwork and have Stan Cedarleaf make the decals.

Re: Dwight's 7-1/2" Gauge CP 173 Builder's Log

I was off all this week working on the locomotive. Made some good progress. http://www.mylargescale.com/1stclass/DwightEnnis/CP173/BoilerJacket/IMG_0427.jpg http://www.mylargescale.com/1stclass/DwightEnnis/CP173/BoilerJacket/IMG_0428.jpg I'm ready to do the water lines, but when I ordered the brass ...

Re: Dwight's 7-1/2" Gauge CP 173 Builder's Log

I'm really not all than enamoured with the CP paint scheme. Instead I think I'll "Baldwinize" her with a bastard paint scheme based upon Baldwin's pre-1875 Wine with red wheel centers and Style 1 lettering and striping. I considered Lake instead of WIne, but the wheel centers were already red when I...

Re: Dwight's 7-1/2" Gauge CP 173 Builder's Log

Latest progress shots. Got the smokebox and stack parts powder coated and reassembled. For the most part, finished making the boiler jacket last weekend. Just need top locate and drill the holes for the handrail stanchions and boiler check valves, and for the screws to mount the domes (they're just ...
