Abutments are installed and painted, not quite what I was after but I am liking how they turned out.

John,
May/June 2001 is the construction article, I believe the July/August issue covered installing it on Jim's layout.

Brian,
Thanks! Yes it's for my HOn3 PC&N Ry.
I managed to get the bridge abutments cast this weekend and the stones roughed in on them. I am trying something new on these, I should know in a couple days if this new technique is a winner or a disaster!

Pin Connected Bridge
All, I am finishing up a Phoenix Column Pin Connected Bridge based on an old Gazette article by Jim Vail. Similar bridges were used on both the NPC and SPC. It will soon be used at Deception Cove on my freelanced PC&N Ry. It has been a fun scratch building project and researching these old bridges w...

John,
Very nice looking Boxcar, I really like the color, it came out great.
As for the Chey.. My Grandfather had a 1940 that was in a wreck which took out the front end. My Dad is currently restoring it using the front end of a 41. I love that old truck...

Re: DCC Recommendations
Andrew, I use a Lenz system and have had no problems. I also have a SPROGII that I use with DecoderPro to do all programming. I know several guys that swear by the NCE systems. Do not skimp on wiring! Use a heavy gauge main bus and run a feed wire to EVERY piece of rail, no exceptions. Also find a c...
