Re: Nevada Short Line #1

John,

If you have a copy of the Colorado Rail Annual #15, the is a picture of UN #13 on page 73. There is a much better shot of sister #11on page 52, pretty much as delivered.

Re: Modeling the SP narrow gauge-a roundup

Back in the late 60s or early 70s, I bought some built up HOn3, SPng wood cars from a company called Pacific Traction. As I recall they made both SPng box cars and stock cars.

Re: ex-SP Tank cars at Pearl Harbor

We have one partial photo by Bill Blewett in the HRS collection which Bill identifies as an ex-NCNG, USN tank car. BB108 USN Tank Car ex-NCNG resized.jpg Beyond this we have nothing. Would love to see that photo. Jeff This car would be either SOCO X-104 or 105, the two cars that ran on the Nevada C...

Re: Pioche Pacific/C&NW #279

The Eureka Nevada's records at UN-R show that the #12 was paid for and owned by the EN. The reason that it remained behind, unscraped was that C.B. Sexton felt that it was too valuable to be junked. The engine remained the property of the Nevada Associates, the Boston owners of the EN and Sexton was...

Re: Pioche Pacific/C&NW #279

Here is another view of the 279 at Pioche, in the late 1940s. As I understand it , the shay once at Boulder Dam is now in Washington state being restored.

Re: Introductions

Hello, My primary interest is in Nevada’s mining railroads. I also have a fondness for the Nevada County Narrow Gauge and other California narrow gauge lines. My main outlet for these interests has been in collecting photos and doing primary research. I am also a so-so modeler and dabble in On3 and ...
