Blake Pumps?

I was going over the Mason Bogie NPC 8, "Bully Boy" Order Sheet (Bldr No.584).

What the heck is a #1 Blake Pump? When delivered it one along with a Rue #7 Injector. I'm assuming it was mounted opposite the Rue, probably on the fireman's side of the firebox.

Removed the straps that extend from the outermost corners of the pedestals to the outer truck corners. Now have thin contour (Pr...

Since it's in the kitchen, fire it up and try cooking something on it. Report back!

Might be an entertaining story and you could say you did it.

Fun new toy Curtis.

Re: Bodie & Benton RR

Maybe a dumb question but why isolate the tank from the firebox? Wouldn't proximity be a great way to start the preheating of the reserve water? Maybe the tank was the best "standard" size they produced. Or...I need to dig up images/drawings...it focused the weight over the forward drivers, reducing...

Re: Working on a NWP caboose

Those curved skuffs -divots in the interior siding keep bugging me. For those not familiar with the caboose (NWP 5591, formerly NS, Formerly NPC) they occur at regular intervals between the windows at the passenger end on both sides of the car. Located fairly high up the walls and clearly represent ...

Re: 2.5" scale Eureka

Lovely.

Questions:

What will you be covering the boiler with?
PSI?
Expected performance specs?
