Alright John-Youve got my curiosity on the Pioche Railroads. I have Myricks' Railroads of Nevada series, but Im thinking that there has to be more info out there on the Pioche area considering how much mining and railroading went on out there. Im particularly interested in the steel ore cars on Pioc...

Im not familiar with the resources available in CA, but if there is a LIDAR layer covering the area it would be hugely helpful-as an archeologist it has pretty much revolutionized how we do field research as it shows things that are not visible in aerial photography.

She certainly didnt look that spiffy when passed in in 2006-it was in sad shape and looked like some of the more easily pilfered parts had disappeared.

Did they let you go through their photo archives? They have a fantastic collection of unpublished photographs in the office, iirc about 12 folders full.
