It took 4 visits over a year (three with a assistant, the last one last week) to copy the entire book. I am in the process of renaming and reordering the copies, and building a searchable index
That is comitment! Nice to know there are others that think an archive is an ideal vacation spot...

I didnt send Bob the pics where we had rifles in hand, I thought they were a little too Charlton Hestonesque-but after after a few maulings by Alaskan Brown bears on the island the USFS implemented a policy where we were not allowed outside the truck without ...

I was just doing some research at the University of Oregon library and had the chance to briefly look over the Randall Mills photograph collection. iirc the finding guide only lists a few Virginia & Truckee photographs, but there was at least 4-5 pages of photographs and good profile shots of the pa...

That is encouraging! As someone who has worked for the government for 10 years, I have seen how much a few letters or comments (eloquent and not angry)can sway political decisions. I just feel if we can weather these tough times, I think museums like the Nevada State Museum will be OK.
