Track planning template for n3

Post by Loco112 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 3:13 pm

Does anyone know where I can find one of those little plastic "Track planning templates" that are for planning (sketching your Nn3 -Gn3) scale model 3'-gauged railroads track plan onto notebook paper?

I want to use the template to experiment and try out creative track route ideas on paper.

A real PC track planner will be used later to check all the features more carefully, when I get a little closer to the final track plan.
Create projects so fantastic they inspire others to undertake even greater projects.

I did a bit of searching and found that a company called CTT Inc used to make something similar to what you've described. It appears the item has been discontinued but you might be able to find one on ebay perhaps.

One great track tool set I have used are Sn3 "sweeps" made by Track Tools, llc in Westminter Colorado- 303-469-9591.
They are machined pieces at all kinds of radiuses. They could be used for larger gauges.
