Western Terrain Textures for Trainz
For the past few years I have been photographing textures for terrain use in my travels and I am finally starting to get them processed. My first texture was uploaded to the Download Station in March, named: "Dirt - Cortena, California". This first texture is used for the dirt at Colusa Junction on my forthcoming Colusa & Lake Railroad for Trainz. This texture is 1024 x 1024, but I am planning on updating it to 2048 in the future.
Tonight I uploaded "Dirt - Beneme, California" to the DLS. This was photographed near the right of way of the former Carson & Colorado / Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge in May of 2014. This texture is 2048 x 2048 and will be right at home in any desert environment.

Re: Western Terrain Textures for Trainz
I just uploaded a slight update to "Dirt - Cortena" and uploaded a new version called "Dirt - Cortena, California (Light)" <kuid:476027:100120>. This is the same texture but a touch lighter.
I have also added a new texture: "Dirt, Hardened - Wabuska, Nevada" <kuid:476027:100005>.
All should be available on the DLS in the next 48 hours.Andrew Brandon - PacificNG Webmaster

Those look great! There's a nice amount of detail, and they appear nicely scaled on the default setting. Thank you!

Re: Western Terrain Textures for Trainz
I have just uploaded five textures to the DLS which should be available in the next 48 hours. These are all 2048 x 2048 pixel textures.
<kuid:476027:100270> Dirt - Beneme, CA (Shade). This is the same as the Beneme texture uploaded previously, but made slightly darker for use under structures like loading platforms, etc.
<kuid2:476027:100069:1> Dirt, Rocky - Goldfield, NV. Taken from the LV&T grade just below Goldfield. <kuid:476027:100001> Dirt, Sandy - Lone Pine NV. This was taken along to the south of the SP grade in Lone Pine. <kuid:476027:100054> Dirt, Rocky - Mina NV Yard Site. From the main line grade near the location of the freight house. <kuid2:476027:100121:1>Undergrowth, Cleared - Sierra Valley CA. I was fortunate to find a stretch of the highway in the Sierra Valley from which the brush had been cleared. This texture works best with sagebrush splines.
