Photograph Identification Needed

Postby Andrew Brandon » Sun Apr 11, 2010 10:02 am

I picked up a few stray photographs of interest yesterday. First is this shot of trackage leading to what appears to be a mine. The image 5" x 7" roughly and is mounted on a heavy card. There are no notations on the back or anywhere else on the image.

Hopefully one of you might recognize something about it.

it may possibly be Chase Creek on the Coronado Rairoad in eastern Arizona. I'll see if I can find the other photos I have of this railroad and compare

I still think it is Chase Creek-I've been looking for some photographs I came across that show a similar angle, BUT I put them in one of what my wife refers to as my "special places." I'll keep looking!

This sounds plausible. Looking at the substantial trackwork I'd say that this is the 36" gauge Coronado RR, re-gauged from the earlier 20" line.
