SPngHS Conference Registration Information

Postby Brian Norden » Wed Jan 30, 2013 9:01 pm

The Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge Historical Society is proud to announce its 2013 annual conference: "Tonopah - the camp that changed the Carson & Colorado RR"

Tonopah and Goldfield were the two mining camps whose boom 100+ years
ago generated so much traffic on the railroad that it necessitated the
change of gauge north of Tonopah Junction.

The registration form and basic information about the conference and the
hotel being used is now available on the Society's website:
www.spnghs.org go to the "Activities" page to find the link to the registration form.

Earlier this month we sent out the dates and hotel information to our
membership with the mailing of the Fall 2012 issue of the Journal. We
are at this time preparing the mailing of the registration form to our
members and expect it to be placed in the mail on Friday.

In 2014 we will be back in the Owens Valley -- this time being based at
Lone Pine for a change.

As usual there will be an additional going home right-of-way tour on Sunday, May 5.

Arrangements have been made for a special hotel rate at the Tonopah Station (former Ramada). For this rate make your reservation this weekend prior to April 1. Information is on the registration form --but, make the reservation by phone.

See you there.
