The very start of the map - I imported the DEM terrain from the USGS, applied a base color using current Bing maps imagery, and placed a section of track and two old models of the Jupiter and 119.

A minor update - I've added placeholders in for the tents based on a NPS doc that Andrew found; added the telegraph line, and added the grades....

Another update - some improvements to the ground textures (though still a long way to go).
I also put placeholder cars in the approximate locations shown by Gerald Best (Historical Base Map 1869) just to get an idea of the scope of the project.

Curtis, it is already becoming another outstanding historical representation that "takes you there!
