Eureka Mill RR
I am looking to start on the page for the Eureka Mill RR in Nevada.
I know there is a info in Myrick's RR's of Nevada, and the articles that Farrell had in the Gazette a while back.
Are there any other sources of information? Or anyone interested in contributing to this?

Re: Looking for info on a Porter-Bell Loco
One of these days I am going to make it up there to take a look at the locomotive. Sadly I have too many irons in the fire as it is!

I'm not 100% sure but I suspect he's referring to the "Blue Mountain".

Here is the page with information.

Re: SPC "Company Stack"
John; The stack you're illustrating should about the same as this one: http://www.cprr.org/Museum/Locomotives/I_ACCEPT_the_User_Agreement/images/locomotive_stanford.jpg This image shows CPRR #1 Gov. Stanford wearing a Stevens style stack which is named after it's inventor AJ Stevens, master mechanic...

Mich-Cal Log Bogie
made a trip over to the NCNG Museum in Nevada City today since it is right behind my office. The Mich-Cal Lumber Bogie that has been under restoration the past few months was outside and I was able to grab a few photographs. According to my notes this should be 1 of 5 which still exist, the others a...

Re: SPC "Company Stack"
Since I don't have any SPC references handy, were the "Company Stacks" the Stevens design? Was that part of the discussion? I believe I remember seeing a drawing for those somewhere, but I could be mistaken.

A Visit To Towle Bros. Country
**Large Image Warning - These images could take a while to load for those of you with slower connections** On August 30th a few friends and I took a journey to Emigrant Gap, CA. Our goal was to scout along the Towle/Read Operations up in the woods. Having been out a few times I was primarily playing...

Re: New Member
Mario, I am pleased you've enjoyed the photos. Over the past 5 years or so I've been accumulating images for a new NCNG book. The images you see are shots from my collection that have been in books and other media previously. I believe I have another 20 or so to upload in the coming weeks. Since I a...
