Re: Virgina & truckee right of way

I've done the Carson River drive a couple of times now - though none since they've started the reconstruction work. As I recall, there isn't much of the mills left. There is the foundation of Yerrington's smelter, some wood remnants of the Eureka Mill and Santiago ore slides, and a stone vault-like ...

Caboose No 9 in Trainz

Hi! Over the last several months, I've been working on repainting one of my Caboose 9 models using Andrew's drawings as a base. Now that the body is more or less complete, I thought I'd share a picture. My intent is to make versions of 9 and 10 based on all of Andrew's drawings. caboose_9_wip.jpg I ...

Re: Bonus Mexican Narrow gauge pics.

Jesus Garcia drove off in a train with burning boxcars full of dynamite, so they didn't explode in town - definitely a hero :)
Nice pictures.
That's an incredibly tight tunnel - would make for a nice model.

Thank you for sharing!

Baldwin Style #53?

Does anyone have copies of the Baldwin style cards for style #53? One of my friends is building a model of an 0-4-4T loco, and the builder's card references that style. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Curtis

Re: Our First Group project, V&T 9 & 10

There's a set of drawings by Mike Collins in the back of Ferrell's V&T book.

Re: 3D File Formats

GMAX will import .3DS, .PRJ, .DXF, AND .SHP. However, GMAX hasn't been supported for quite some time (since 2005, I think), and doesn't run as well on Vista or Win 7. GMAX also doesn't export to any formats unless you have a specific exporter for a game - it can be hard to get a file out of GMAX for...

Re: Introductions

Hi! I'm mainly interested in the V&T, but also any of the short lines in the neighboring Sierras, or Nevada, or Oregon, or Washington... I'm currently working on modeling the V&T in Auran's Trainz program, although I tend to get a bit distracted there, also! Anyway, I'm looking forward to sharing in...
