A plug for Karen's books.

Post by John Coker » Sat Nov 13, 2010 12:55 pm

Andrew mentioned that he ordered his SPng roster book from Karen's Books. So did I . Karen is great at follow-up and they have everything. Also an old friend of 30 years, Bill Lambert is co-owner, and like to keep my business with friends.
Bill is a longtime railfan, starting out with video, then brass, and now books. Him and Karen plan to expand the book line to include aircraft, autos, motorcycles and military. An interesting aside- Bill tells me that book sales have remained strong throughout the hard times. It must be that fans are staying home, not buying models and enjoying the new crop of train books that are better written, researched, edited and presented than older titles.

Hi John,

I can only second your comment about Karen's Books. I've ordered from them for several years now. Since I live in Germany, it takes extra effort to send the books over. They always arrive on time, in bomb-proof packaging and in excellent shape.

Karen's has become one of my favourite bookshops.

Best regards,

Yes, I am also quite pleased with my order. Bought one for myself and another for my father, and they both arrived in less than a week. I highly recommend her shop.
